Crunchy Candied Mixed Nuts

Crunchy Candied Mixed Nuts

There’s something about candied mixed nuts that I just can’t get enough of. The sweetness combined with the natural richness from the nuts keeps me reaching for more. This recipe is so easy! All you need are your favorite nuts, sugar and spices, and an egg. The egg white gives the nuts a really good crunch and keeps all the flavor packed in.  I’ve tried recipes without egg whites, but I don’t find them quite as satisfying.  I love a good crunch!

My favorite nuts for this recipe are pecans, walnuts, and cashews. Sometimes I’ll also toss in slivered almonds and pumpkin seeds. Candied mixed nuts make for a great movie or lunchtime snack. You can even put them in jars with a pretty bow and give them as gifts for the holidays or special occasion.
